Calderdale Healthy Holiday Programme

In the school holidays, children and young people can access holiday provision through the Healthy Holidays Calderdale programme.

The programme is provided as part of the Government's Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme. The free places are funded by the Department for Education (DfE).

 

Who is it for?
Children and young people aged between 6-13. They can attend as many sessions as they wish, whether one day or all 4 days! If your child is eligible for free school meals they can attend for free!!!

If your child is not eligible for free school meals don't worry, we can still accommodate, everyone can attend! 

 

What activities will I do?
TAG ARCHERY, NEW AGE KURLING, BOCCIA, BADMINTON, CRICKET, TENNIS, DODGEBALL, FOOTBALL, BASKETBALL, RUGBY, ATHLETICS, STREET SURFING, CLIMBING, TEAM BUILDING, LEADERSHIP, QUIZZES, ULTIMATE FRISBEE, ROUNDERS, ANIMAL CARE, ARTS & CRAFTS and CREATIVE.  It is a fun filled week of both sport and activity with plenty of free time to make new friends, and learn more about healthy eating.

 

Is lunch provided?
Yes, a healthy hot meal for lunch is provided every day, along with breakfast, as well as snacks, deserts, and water. Lunch and snacks can also be brought from home. Please make sure you child brings a drink bottle with their name on it and both indoor and outdoor clothes.

 

What clothing/footwear will be required?
Both indoor and outdoor clothing and suitable sports shoes for indoor and astro surface is recommended.

 

What ability level?
All abilities are welcome although an interest in sporting activity is recommended. But will have plenty of other fun activities other than sport available throughout the camp.
